Ruler tool
Click the Ruler tool to show a ruler over the canvas; click it again to hide it. When the pointer is over the ruler, drawing input snaps to the nearer ruler edge. This makes it easier to draw a straight line with another drawing tool.
Drag the ruler to move it. Rotate it with a touch gesture or with the secondary mouse button while dragging. The angle control in the ruler’s properties lets you enter an exact rotation. Rotation snaps near quarter turns to help align the ruler horizontally or vertically.
